1. Use salt in cleaning your floors and furniture. Use it with the help of a vacuum cleaner. Salt is effective in dehydrating the eggs of fleas.
2. Soak your pet’s collar in a mixture of mint, apple cider vinegar and lavender. The oils from this mixture can deter flea and is excellent for your homemade flea collar.
3. You can also make herbal flea shampoo out of two cups of rosemary leaves and boiled in two pits of water. Mix this concoction with one gallon of water. Wet your pet with this water.
4. Mix one part of vinegar with three parts of water to make a homemade anti-flea spray.
5. May a citrus spray out of thinly-sliced lemon added to a pint of water. Boil and let it cool overnight. Spray it onto your pets.
6. Dehumidify your room by decreasing your room humidity by half for two days.
7. Make a soapy water and pour it onto areas infested with fleas.
8. Rub some yeast onto your pet’s fur.
9. Place banana peels onto flea-infested areas.
